House marg: 3, solid flavor and great price especially at happy hour Chips and queso: 3.5, the queso is yellow cheese dip so if you're from the south and used to white cheese dip just FYI. Still tasty though and the chips were thin and crunchy! Tacos: 4, tinga, asada, veggie, and pastor. Loved the tiny tortillas they came on, and even though the tacos were small they were very flavorful and filling! ”

“ Happy hour as Las Margs offers $1 off tacos, $5 margaritas, and $4 draft beers. Do you need anything more on an unseasonably warm Tuesday evening? The patio is covered and lit up, so it feels like a fiesta out there. I recommend the fish taco or the asada taco. Chips and salsa trio are always a "must" as well as some guacamole. I could survive on chips and salsa all by themselves. Finding parking on Marion street can be difficult. If you can snag a spot in Las Margs' parking lot, good on you. Or if you are like me and can parallel park like a champ, it's not so bad. ”

“ I stopped by here for lunch last summer and my experience was amazing. The menu had a nice selection of Mexican dishes available, all at reasonable prices. I ordered the chips and salsa for starters, and then the Chicken Tinga Torta for my main. The Torta was absolutely delicious, I've never actually ate one before until coming here. The bread was extremely soft, and the chicken was packed with flavor. Overall, the food was top notch, and super filling! Another thing I really liked about Las Margs is that they have a parking lot to the right of the restaurant. This is great as I know parking is not always easy around the neighborhood. If you're in the area, I highly recommend stopping by here, whether it's for their drinks or food. ”

“ The girls and I stopped in for a late night dinner. Food was good, hospitality was very personable, and vibe was trendy and hip. We had fajitas, tacos, enchiladas, beans, rice, and their chips and salsa. The server and bartender knew we were in town for my pre-birthday celebration and offered complimentary drinks on the house -- what a super sweet thing to do! Indoor and outdoor seating options are available and these guys stay opened pretty late (considering the fact that we haven't fully reopened yet). No complaints about anything. ”

“ Based on their positive reviews, I suggested Las Margs to a group of friends before seeing a show at Ogden. We all know Yelp leads us to great local gems, but I truly didn't expect this place to be THAT good. Words of wisdom, it is THAT good! First and foremost, service was quick and friendly. I believe the owner was even running food and bussing tables on a Friday night. Love the dedication and passion! Queso and the Salsa Trio are a must. Let's be real, even crappy queso and salsa are a must when at a Mexican restaurant. However, the four of us were in agreement that these were legit. Big plates of tortilla chips that were hot, fresh and crispy. The queso rocks with its velvety creamy consistency. It's what you want AND what you need! I wish the salsas had a little more bite to them, though they were very good. I was torn on a few items and our waitress proposed half enchilada, half poblano. Sold! I love me a plump, tender poblano, but the enchilada verde stole the show. Smothered in pork green chile? Ohhh yeaaah. The sauce began to mingle with the accompanying rice and beans. Let's just say they became friends rather quickly. Note to self, parking can be a nightmare, especially on a weekend. After circling a few times I was able to find street parking on Marion. Overall, surprisingly impressed after one go 'round. Definitely recommend to my fellow Yelpers and eager to return! ”

“ Las Margs is in my work 'hood and has been for many years even when it was on the corner of 17th Ave and Downing about 3 blocks away from its current home on Marion between Colfax and 16th Ave. If you look at the ratings history (a neat Yelp app function that you get to by hitting the "details" link just to the right of the number of ratings info on the review page), you'll see that from mid-2018 to mid-2019 Las Margs rated at between 3.5-4 stars. Then in the summer of 2019 the rating rocketed to 4.5 and has stayed there until now. (The 3.5-4 star rating? Well it was accurate then and in my view still accurate now). So what does this recent change in ratings mean? Did Las Margs change chefs or the menu or the service or what? My view? The 4.5 overall rating is inflated and how or why it happened I can't tell you. The food seems to be the same as always which is good to very good. Is it a 5 star dive wonder-bar? No. Emphatically no. But is it worth hitting up if you're in the area for a street taco or burrito? Yeah, probably, and 4 stars is a generous rating.
